30, 2004: US Youth Soccer Region II Crowns 2004 Champions!

Champions have been determined in each of the fourteen age divisions at the 2004 US Youth Soccer Region II Championships. Host Illinois was well represented on the awards platform, as seven of the age group champions came from Illinois. Michigan and Missouri teams each won three championships, and Wisconsin won the remaining title.

All of the Under-14 through Under-19 age group champions advance to Disney's Wide World of Sports® in Lake Buena Vista, Fl. on July 20-25 for the US Youth Soccer National Championships, where they will meet up with regional champs from other US Youth Soccer regions.

The 2004 US Youth Soccer Region II Championships were held at the Sportscore 1 and Sportscore 2 complexes in Rockford, Illinois. Click Here for scores from the championship matches.

Teams Recognized for Good Sportsmanship with Kohl’s Fair Play Award at US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championship

One team in each age group at the recently completed US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships received the Kohl’s Fair Play Award in recognition of their display of good sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
 
Winners of the Kohl’s Fair Play Award, as selected by referees, state representatives and the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Committee, are recognized for displaying positive conduct on the field toward their opponents and game officials throughout the competition. Continue...
